You're probably asking yourself, why to make your own homemade granola when you can buy a ready one in the supermarket, and the answer is: because it's much healthier! Ok, not just that but it's also very easy to make in a few steps!
Meet my new addiction, a homemade crispy, and delicious granola, and you too are about to enjoy it. Think about it, you're about to make a fresh and healthy baked granola with whole grains, unrefined oil, and naturally sweetened. It's super easy to make that once you try it, you won't go back to store-bought granola - and it's a promise!
Healthy Granola Recipe
Prep Time: 5 mins | Cook Time: 40 mins
2 cups of rolled oats
2 tbsp pumpkin seeds
2 tbsp sunflower seeds
1 tsp cinnamon
1\2 tsp grain sea salt (trust me, it gives the granola a new sense of taste).
1\4 cup olive oil
3 tbsp honey
Preheat oven to 150 degrees Celcius and line a large, rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a large bowl, combine and mix the oats, seeds, salt, and cinnamon.
Pour the oil and honey in another ball and heat it for 30 seconds in the microwave.
Pour the oil and honey to the blend of the dry ingredients - mix well, until every oat and seed is lightly coated. Pour the granola onto your prepared pan and spread it in an even layer.
Bake for 40 minutes while mixing the blend every 10 minutes, so that all the mix will be baked equally.
Take it out when the granola is slightly golden and brownish, and let it cool completely.
Store the granola in an airtight container at the fridge.
And now, to the fun part. Enjoy yourself with a Yogurt and your homemade granola. You can add fresh fruit such as Banana, Raspberry, or any other fruit that you like.
Now that you have this base recipe, you can play around with the mix-ins and spices to make it your own favorite granola
